FULL DESCRIPTION
Our 8mm Fire gets the Solite 2.0 technology upgraded. The 8mm Custom Fire 2.0 integrates our new 3-Point Strap with the 2.0 Sole for precision fit, instant response, and enhanced durability and protection. Simply put, our 8mm Custom Fire 2.0 is the best cold-water boot in the world. Full stop.
KEY FEATURES
3D Molded Natural Rubber Sole
Like all of our new 2.0 Series boots, the 8mm Custom Fire 2.0 features a 3D-molded 1mm natural rubber sole, wrapping up the toes and heel for increased durability and protection against rocks, urchins, and reef. The one-piece sole design leaves no exposed gaps between sole pods, insuring extra protection and durability.
Custom-Fit 2.0 Thermofoam Sole with Round Toe Design
Our patented heat-moldable 2.0 Thermofoam sole has also been completely redesigned including a Round Toe design for max warmth. The Thermo Foam Sole is 8mm thick in the toes/heels for extra protection and 7mm elsewhere.
3-Point Strap with Floating D-Ring
Another Solite innovation, our 3-Point Strap anchors under both the arch and heel on the inside of the foot, and under the heel on the outside of the foot. When the strap is tightened, the boot snugs up evenly under the arch and through the rear of the boot, providing instant response and slop-free fit for all arch and ankle profiles. Our Floating D-Ring on the strap isn't stitched in place, allowing it to "float" naturally to the optimal position on your foot. Our 3-Point Strap is also 100% Tatex-coated for extra durability and zero water absorption.
Thermal Rebound Lining from Top to Bottom
The 8mm Custom Fire 2.0 gets even warmer with the addition of our Thermal Rebound internal lining and a matching Round-Toe 1mm Neoprene Heat Booster Sock, also with Thermal Rebound lining.
These socks are a critical component of our Solite "system", particularly in the frigid waters where the 8mm Custom Fire 2.0s are used. Benefits of the 1mm Neoprene socks are numerous:
- Add 5-10F warmth to the boots for longer sessions in frigid conditions.
- Increase comfort with a soft, plush barrier between the foot and the Thermofoam sole.
- Make the boots easy on/off with a low-friction outer surface.
- Keep boots smelling fresh since the socks can be easily washed/dried separately.
Tatex Flex-Spine
Further fortifying the exterior is our exclusive Tatex Flex-Spine. The Flex Spine stiffens the back of the boot, acting as a shoe-horn for easy entry and also providing a sticky surface to grab your wetsuit leg and prevent flushing. The inside is lined with a plush quick-dry lining material for max airflow, improving warmth and comfort.
EZ-O Cuff with Overkill Seams
Our EZ-O Cuff design provides a seamless barrier against flushing with a larger panel than other o-ring seals, providing much easier on-off and reducing stress on the seams. To reduce bulk under the wetsuit leg and allow for easier on-off, the EZ-O panel is reduced to 5mm thickness. Since booties take serious abuse, we cut no corners on our neoprene seam construction. Our Overkill neoprene seams are triple-glued, blind-stitched, then sealed on the exterior with liquid seam seal for maximum durability and longevity.
Reinforced Stealth-Loop
To ease on/off, we've integrated our low-profile Stealth-Loop in the heel. The Stealth Loop is laminated between the neoprene and our co-molded rubber/textile heel reinforcement patch, providing incredible durability and pull-strength. The Stealth Loop is also Tatex-coated for extra strength and zero-water absorption.
SIZE GUIDE
Sizing Tip: Order your regular shoe size or half a size down, as they expand to fit when moulded. For example, if you are a size 10.5, order a 10. If you are a size 10, also order a size 10. NOTE: If your feet are exceptionally narrow or low volume, you may want to size down even more.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE
Solite Boots provide the absolute best performance, comfort, and warmth if they are sized and fit correctly. Here are some tips to make sure you get the correct size boots for optimum fit:
If you have Average/Wide Feet:
You should purchase your sneaker size or half a size smaller. Solite Boots should fit tight out of the box, but the heat molding process will stretch them to the perfect size. If your boots feel too big out of the box in any dimension (length/width/arch), then we suggest you try a size down. Even if they feel tight out of the box, heat molding will expand the boots to a snug but comfortable fit.
NOTE: If you plan to use the 1mm neoprene Heat Booster Socks inside your boots, you may not have to size down. In fact, if you have wide feet you may even want to size up half a size if you plan to use the 1mm neoprene Heat Booster Socks. For example, if you are a wide size 10.5 and plan to use the 1mm neoprene Heat Booster Socks, a size 11 may be a better fit. This is particularly applicable to the 5mm boots, which won't stretch in heat-molding as much as 3mm boots.
If you have Narrow/Low-Volume Feet:
You can go down 1 size from your sneaker size. By heat-molding, the boot will stretch to fit your length, and narrow/reduce volume to hug your narrower foot. Once again, the 3mm Boots will stretch more easily in heat-molding than the 5mm boots, so keep this in mind when choosing.
HEAT MOLDING INSTRUCTIONS
Solite Boots are the world's first and only custom, heat-moldable watersports footwear. Custom fitting can be done in your kitchen with nothing more than a kettle of boiling water. To heat-mold your Solite boots, watch the video below and follow the instructions carefully. Do not use any other methods of heat molding except boiling water. Use of ovens, microwaves, heat guns, etc. will void your warranty.
STEP-BY-STEP
1. Bring water to a boil (you will need approximately 3 cups of boiling water per boot.)
2. While water is heating, roll down the cuffs of your Solite boots and place them in a sink.
3. Put on your Solite Heat Booster socks. These socks will help allow for a little extra space when the boots are being molded.
4. Once water comes to a full bubbling boil, gently pour into your Solite boots (in the sink), filling each to slightly below the seam where the neoprene upper is attached to the sole. See photo.
5. Wait 5 minutes for the boiling water to soften the sole material.
6. After 5 minutes, carefully pour out the hot water from your Solite boot (doing one boot at a time) and quickly rinse out the inside of the boot with cold water to lower the surface temperature and to prevent burning. Test with your hand as you will want to get your foot in as warm as you can comfortably stand.
7. Place your foot inside your Solite boot while wearing the Heat Booster sock (if you plan to wear the socks inside the boots). Make sure your big-toe sits comfortably in the toe cavity and your heel is flush in the heel pocket.
8. Repeat Steps 6 and 7 for the other boot.
9. Secure boot ankle straps if you have them.
10. Walk around in your Solite boots for the next 10-15 minutes, to ensure a comfortable fit while the material cools and molds to your foot shape.
11. Once your Solite Boots have cooled to room temperature, the molding process is complete. 5-7 minutes.
12. If you are unhappy with the fit, you can re-mold your Solite boots repeating the same steps above. Your Solite boots should feel completely comfortable, almost like part of your foot.

from 127 reviewsAfter purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
