No need for foiling !
Almost no board planes as early AND effortlessly as JP’s Super Lightwind. Since its introduction in 2011 it has occupied an almost unrivalled position in the market as one of the only dedicated light wind machines in any brand’s range! Planing in almost no wind and reaching top speed immediately, it rides comfortably, smoothly and incredibly easily for its size.
DESCRIPTION
This is JP’s 5th shape generation of this unique board design and like its predecessors, it benefits from the shape evolutions of the Slalom and Super Sport board and also from the HydroFoil performance boards, too! Consequently, this is JP’s hottest toy ever for all light wind days, no matter if you plan to set up the board with fin or foil.
You have to try it to believe how much fun you can have in almost no wind: Light wind blasting
The first priority on Shaper Werner Gnigler’s design brief was to combine outstanding early planing performance with an electrifying sensation and a user friendly ride.
To achieve this, the outline is long resulting in a even outline curve for a smooth and effortless transition from non-planing to planing.
Another consequence of this is that the rider benefits from a comfortable, parallel stance and the power is distributed evenly from both legs onto the rail. For a board this size, the shape feels small and alive under your feet, yet is much easier to control than previous models. Definitely a highlight of this shape!
The easy ride and control also show in the board’s jibing ability. Not only does the outline take credit for maneuverability, but the thin and smooth rail shape – especially noticeable in the rear – allows for perfect stance and comfort in all of the various options of footstrap placements, perfectly suited for fin and foil use.
The concave deck lowers the pivot point of the mast base, reduces swing weight and provides additional control when pushing the limits and in carving maneuvers. The sail foot is pulled lower to naturally close the gap between sail and board in order to further enhance light wind efficiency.
The bottom features a ‘transforming Vee flow’ – the Vee is strongly pronounced in front of the mast base for a smooth ride and low-friction touch downs, it decreases between the foot straps and opens up again towards the tail. Thus, the board rides high and loose, ironing out all chop. The transforming V results in a curvy rail line which makes jibing smoother and helps to exit the turn at full speed
Big cut-outs provide the perfect mix of release and lengthy rail line for control when sailed with fin. They thin-out the rails in the tail making it easy to rail up the board at high speeds and to carve through jibes. When foiling, they also offer extra flexibility, loading up the wings for takeoff.
The board doesn’t require a foil to be big fun in super light winds but for everybody who wants to try, JP’s Foil-Tuttlebox makes it an amazing foil weapon. The board’s volume and size not only get it up on the foil to fly super early, but the width provides the leverage to control the lift of the foil when the winds pick up and the pace increases.

RIDER TALK
Greta Marchegger:
“THE board for every super light wind session for everyone – no matter if used with fin or foil. And one of my favorite boards in every photo shoot!”
Andy – recreational freerider:
“The best for my local summer breeze: When the guys on the air mattresses consider ending their swimming day, it gets me planing before every other windsurfer. And when my buddies finally get planing, too, my board is already so powerful that I can easily speed past them just as I wish – across the wind, upwind, downwind... “

from 127 reviewsAfter purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
