JP’s popular and successful line of boards, positioned at the centre of the freeride class, now comes in four completely new shapes! JP presents the third generation of Super Ride boards for 2025, as designer Werner Gnigler saw an opportunity to make these great all-rounders even better.
DESCRIPTION
Werner Gnigler main goal was to make them more accessible and even comfier to ride in a wider range of conditions, whilst raising the performance level at the same time. The good news is, this evolution of the “SR” line did not change the boards’ key characteristics, so you’ll find all their well-known qualities: super balanced freeride boards, easy, sporty and fast and – last but not least – great jibing machines, providing a ‘super ride’.
The second generation of Super Ride boards has been available for four years now—since 2021. They have stokedriders around the globe, featuring all the virtues and advantages of true all-rounders with nearly flawless ride and performance.
What did Werner do to make them better?
He updated the basic shape dimensions by making the tail and overall width slightly
WIDER. For example, compared to the 2024 SR 124, the new Super Rider 125 is one cm wider overall and two cm wider in the tail. This creates a more stable platform with a bigger planing area which, together with the new efficient rocker line, improves the ease of early planing. Due to lower drag and improved efficiency, it planes in a higher water position, offering a smoother ride. Rough, choppy conditions will not affect control or the cushioned riding experience. Better control allows to push for more speed.
The NEW RAIL SHAPE has a slightly higher apex point, creating more lift. This is most evident in fast turns, where these new shapes maintain speed and allow you to exit your jibes fully planing. Control and stability are paramount, enabling you to execute jibes with confidence and making these boards true jibing machines. This rail shape results in a very smooth deck radius, guaranteeing a comfortable stance whether you use the inner foot strap option or the performance setup closer to the rail. Sharper edges towards the tail provide control and a turbulence-free, efficient water release to maximize your speed and agility.
The OUTLINE towards the nose has been made more streamlined.
FIN
The moulded RIDE fins of the ES boards remain unchanged, whereas the Tuttlebox CNC G10 RIDE fin shapes of the Wood Pro models are different and completely new, available in sizes 38, 40, 42, and 44. Compared to the other current versions, these fins feature a new, more even outline, especially noticeable at the trailing edge. This results in a shorter cord length and thus less drag, leading to higher speeds and a lighter feel when riding at speed.
This new G10 fin supports the performance side of the new Super Ride boards while still enhancing their ease of use and overall character.
As with the previous generation, these new Super Ride boards also provide infallible riding comfort, versatility to adapt to rider abilities, and genuinely accessible performance. With these new shapes, every rider can easily reach high speeds, even when not overpowered. Additionally, the boards offer an abundance of control, allowing them to handle chop effortlessly and maintain exceptional performance in rough conditions. Hassle-free freeride performance for everyone: they are fun to sail and a treat to jibe.

from 127 reviewsAfter purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
