FULL CONTROL - FULL SPEED.
JP Slalom boards combine very low weight with high durability for early planing, precise control, and top speed. All shapes are tuned for efficient jibing and a comfortable stance. The Slalom features wide tails for leverage, individual tail cut-out configurations, transforming Vee flow, compact parallel outline, thin nose profile, and an ergonomic aerodynamic deck with mast box recess for control and efficiency. The SL 72 has been completely reworked to deliver increased speed, enhanced stability in rough water, improved gybing, and a more connected feel to the board.
FULL DESCRIPTION
Control and top speed – that’s what it takes to reach the podium. JP’s five Slalom boards are built for blasting at PWA competition speed, rounding jibes at full speed, and maintaining precise control across a wide range of conditions. Their stability also benefits lighter riders, keeping them in control even when fully overpowered, while allowing rapid acceleration to top speed. The new SL 72 pushes performance even further: optimized hull aerodynamics, refined rail and deck shapes, and a higher water position let it slice through chop effortlessly, accelerate faster, and stay rock-solid through the most demanding jibes. S-TEC construction combines a striking look with reduced weight and enhanced stiffness, enabling earlier planing, easier handling, and higher top-end speed. Whether chasing the podium or pushing personal limits, the SL delivers the perfect balance of power, responsiveness, and confidence.
The S-TEC construction used across JP’s race boards delivers a combination of very low weight and high stiffness. This is achieved through a carefully considered design:
* No paint
* Anti-slip coating limited to the standing areas
* Compact pads with minimal EVA and glue
* A refined custom lamination process with fibres prepared and laminated separately
This construction provides early planing, easy handling, and maximum performance on the water.
The New 72:
In the highly competitive SL world we are constantly working to improve our range, the SL 72 has been upgraded to significantly increase overall speed by trimming the board to a higher water position, reducing wetted surface and drag. This allows riders to go faster while maintaining greater stability and control in rough conditions.
During the development, the hull’s aerodynamics were optimized, particularly in the nose area. A redesigned rail and deck shape in front of the mast base ensures smooth airflow over the deck, keeping the board stable and efficient even in challenging conditions. Towards the tail, the outline and deck shape were smoothed, especially around the back footstrap, offering a more connected feel and a comfortable stance.
These updates also improve gybing ability, giving more control when entering at high speed and exiting the turn, making riders more competitive not only in straight-line speed but also around the mark.
Key features retained from the rest of the range include:
Smooth scoop rocker line and transforming V-flow – strongly pronounced in front of the mast base, tapering down between the foot straps, then opening towards the tail. This reduces drag, supports a high and loose water position, and facilitates control during gybes to maintain speed.
High apex rail shape – generates lift for early planing, acceleration, and stability during gybes.
Tail tuck line with double stepped cutout – maximizes control, release, and speed.
Thoughtful footstrap positioning – enables efficient power distribution and easy strap entry/exit for gybes.
The general concept of our SLALOM line:
When designing and fine tuning this line, our focus is to increase the average speed across the racecourse, paying special attention to jibing where some of the biggest gains can be made during a race. Here, the target is to maintain speed throughout the turn and to exit faster.
The shapes offer a great, locked, and stable riding position. Far less effort is required to reach and maintain top speed and all of them provide great early planing power and a wide range of use. The tails of these boards are wide and provide lots of leverage towards the fin, resulting in more power and control.
The smooth deck shape guarantees a super comfortable stance. The rider preserves energy to push his limits on longer runs.
All sizes feature an additional pad wedge between the tail straps providing a more connected feel.
Each board size features its individual tail Cut-Out configuration in the bottom to find the perfect mix of release and lengthy rail line for control, for example, the first Cut-Outs of the bigger boards start much further forward, and the curve of the Cut-Outs increases towards the tail.
The target is always efficient water release as well as an even water flow around the fin to provide steady fin pressure for permanent power and top speed. The Slalom 62.5, 66.72 amd 76 feature Double Step Cut-Outs, meaning their two cut-outs have different heights.
From the mid-section of the board towards the nose we lifted the apex point of the rail. That way we gained some volume in the rail which helps exiting jibes with speed.
Beside the aerodynamic deck shape, we used an additional recess for the deck box. The pivot point of the mast base drops and provides additional control when pushing the limits and during the jibe. “Close the gap”: The lowered sail foot creates the most efficient airflow.
Six core design elements guarantee the perfect set-up for PWA racing:
DUAL TAIL OUTLINES individually adjusted to each board size. The Cut-Out configuration reduces the outline width and the wetted surface of the bottom for less drag and higher speeds. The deck outline above the cut-outs is wider which results in a further outboard rear strap position: The rider can load more power onto the fin for more control and speed. The Double Step Cut-Outs of the 62.5 and 76 are parts of this individual shape adjustment.
TRANSFORMING VEE FLOW along the bottom – the Vee is strongly pronounced in front of the mast base, decreasing between the foot straps and opening again towards the tail. Thus, the board rides high and loose, ironing out all the chop. The transforming V results in a curvy rail line which makes jibing smoother and helps to exit the turn at full speed.
COMPACT CONCEPT – The parallel outline in the mid-section of the short board maximizes the planing surface at the mast base, lifting the boards onto the plane instantly.
THIN PROFILE – in the nose area reduces drag since this is the part which is affected most by the wind. This, in combination with a aerodynamic deck, means we managed to keep the swing weight centred for great top end control.
A tiny but essential advantage: The comfortable and ergonomic deck shape guarantees a relaxed stance, allowing the rider to focus on going faster.
DECK SHAPES – Efficiency
The board features the proven aerodynamic deck reducing swing weight and now comes with an additional recess for the deck box, dropping the pivot point of the mast base. As a result, the sail foot seals the gap between the board and sail providing ultimate efficiency as well as additional control when pushing the limits and during the jibe.
The boards feature a standard Deep Tuttle box and are not approved for foiling.

great communication and delivered the product when they said. Would definitely use again!
I cannot sing enough praises for H2O Sports! I have over the years made small purchases because they’ve been the most competitive online but recently I bought some new wing foiling kit and there was some slight damage to the alloy mast - well H2O’s aftercare was second to none!! They were instantly chasing down a replacement part and happy for me to be using the old part (albeit a bit bent) whilst waiting for the replacement. So refreshing to experience such great customer service.
Many many Thanks! - will be ordering more and more from this company!!!
Great buying experience. Great prices and delivered quickly. Thanks Guys.
After purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
