Unleash Your Downwind Potential!
This downwind SUP foil board provides exceptional stability, glide and paddle speed for easy, early take-offs. The sloped, concave deck shape helps convert paddling power into forward momentum. Its unique flat bottom section under the standing area ensures stability, while the rounded nose and sharply beveled tail deliver smooth touchdowns and efficient flight engagement. Built in our most advanced S-TEC construction, the board combines super low weight with the stiffness and quick response of this high-performance carbon construction. New tracks make foil assembly easier, and the mirrored foil positioning scale on the EVA pad ensures precise placement for enhanced control.
FULL DESCRIPTION
While many downwind-specific SUP shapes on the market share similar designs, we have decided to take a different approach for our Downwind S-TEC. We believe that the extreme beveled or fully rounded bottom and rail shapes create significant instability that causes discouragement for beginners. Therefore, we decided to go for a very flat bottom section where it matters the most: Right in the standing area. The stability to get going is the primary objective here. We have used the advantages of roundness and beveled rail/bottom contours only where they are needed. The nose area is rounded for forgiving and smooth touchdowns, while the abruptly beveled pin-tail can be easily sunk as you engage it to achieve flight. We paid special attention to the shape of the rail with keeping the apex of the rail radius as high as possible to further enhance stability. The deck features a slight concave in the standing area that transforms into a slope towards the nose, ensuring optimal engagement as you transfer the paddle power into the forward momentum. Simply put, the slope prevents the front foot from sliding forward in the crucial moment of the paddle stroke.
Apart from the importance of the shape features, the next essential characteristic of a good downwind board is keeping it as light and stiff as possible. Low swing weight and stiffness for a direct response are essential. Here we decided not to cut any corners. We offer the board exclusively in our most advanced high-end S-TEC construction. Precise CNC cut core is wrapped in a full PVC sandwich with lightweight Biax carbon and additional UNI-directional Carbon patch covering the length of the standing area as well as the mirrored bottom area supporting the foil. A special method of lamination is used to achieve a pre-preg resin-to-fiber ratio. This creates a feather weight Triax carbon PVC sandwich shell for the ultimate in composite board construction.
To further enhance the weight saving, we opted for a brushed-off topcoat covering the carbon. The faded painted nose and tail rail area with bright and fluorescent colors are there for visibility and safety at sea.
KEY FEATURES
ALL-NEW TRACKS!
We redesigned the tracks that now have large openings for an easy foil-to-board assembly: Simply drop the plate nuts into the track while they are mounted on the foil, slide them into position and tighten the screws. To remove the foil, just loosen the screws and slide the foil backward and upwards.
We decided not to add any additional openings to the tracks as this would dramatically reduce their structural integrity. All boards featuring the new tracks are now equipped with a standard set of 4 plate nuts. These nuts ensure a perfect fit to the tracks, superior load distribution and ideal thread engagement.
The foil positioning scale between the tracks is mirrored in the design of the deck EVA pad, allowing you to know exactly where your foil is placed in relation to your back foot position.
The EVA pad has a fine corduroy pattern for comfort.

Vinni Martins:
“The volume distribution throughout the board combined with the unique shape of the tail makes it pretty easy to get the Downwind up on the foil! Once you're riding the bumps, it’s incredibly easy to control, turn, and pump!”

from 127 reviewsAfter purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
