PARAWING / DOWNWIND
Take flight with the new stash from duotone - the parawing introduction to the duotone line-up.
FULL DESCRIPTION
The single-skin design with double-skin tips comes with a strong focus on stable flight and depower, making the Stash functional in a bigger range of winds and riding angles, while still having the lightest and smallest packing in mind for those seeking the pure sensation of gliding for miles.
The Stash has been fine-tuned over several months by our wing and kite designer Ken Winner in strong collaboration with our Downwind experts Finn and Jeffrey Spencer making sure it‚not just an engine to get on foil but tackles the difficulties to make the end-goal of ultimate free-flight accessible to a broader audience.
Using special ultra-light 30g paragliding ripstop canopy, which flies earlier and stays in the air longer, packs down smaller and dampens gusts better for greater riding comfort, our team steered away from classic kite and wing ripstop canopy materials quickly. Sourcing thinner bridle lines to reduce drag and weight, and to further optimise packing was another key step in our Parawing-specific design.
The Stash combines the advantages of both worlds, single- and double skin in one design. A powerful and easy to pack single skin approach with closed-cell tips allowed our design team to achieve a gradual de-power through a simple move of your wrist, while the tips stay filled and in control at any time. The stabilised leading edge and the reduced ribs further optimise flying stability, drag and easy stashing.
Packing, sorting and re-launch of the Stash is made easy though three differently coloured bridle sections, a coloured mid-section of the leading edge, so you know where to grab for re-launch, and a colour on the ergonomic Carbon bar showing you which side to steer forward all steps towards making the goal of free flight more approachable.
Ultimately, it‚about the sensation of True Foiling when your Parawing is nicely stashed away!
Recommended Board & Foil Setup
Don't expect Parawinging to be as easy as Wing Foiling, it'ss not! Balancing on your board is more challenging without a more stable inflated wing in your hands, so we recommend using a bigger board especially for your first attempts.
Pumping up on foil is more legwork and we recommend the use of a bigger Glide foil, like what's used in SUP Downwind Foiling. One of the great advantages over SUP Downwind Foiling is, that you‚re able to get on foil with a significantly shorter board, such as the Skybrid which is the perfect match! If you already have a Downwinder, that's also perfectly doing the job especially for your first runs.
To make your first sessions more successful, we have put together some recommendations depending on your weight and foiling level.

WARNING / DISCLAIMER
Be aware of the risks using a Parawing.
- Bridle lines are thin and can get tangled around hands, fingers or other parts of your body, especially when caught in breaking waves, which we recommend avoiding. Once the Parawing catches wind and bridle lines are under tension, it can be difficult to get your hand or fingers untangled, which can cause injury. Make sure you practice and understand how to bring the Parawing down to the water to release tension – before going on the water.
- Most Parawingers use the wing without a leash to avoid tangling leash and bridle lines. Once you let go of the Parawing, it will float for a while on the water surface. Make sure to paddle to the wing before it will drop below the surface making it hard to find, as only the Carbon bar will float.
- Be aware of the risk of changing wind conditions when going for Downwinders, especially in the open ocean! Wind can drop when you‚re out at sea, which can make re-starts difficult or impossible with the Parawing. Wear a life vest, have a phone and/or safety tracker with you and don‚Äôt go for downwind runs by yourself. Always stay in a visual distance to shore you can reach paddling using your hands.

from 127 reviewsAfter purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
