WORLD CUP WAVE D/LAB >> HIGH-END WAVE SAIL
Super_Hero D/LAB - creating the sail of your dreams! Imagine a world where restrictions in sail design and construction would cease to exist. How would the sail of your dreams look like?
FULL DESCRIPTION
For 2025 we have restructured our sail range according to the materials and construction being used (for further details please see below under D/LAB vs. SLS vs. Originals).
As a consequence the SUPER_HERO SLS is now being called SUPER_HERO D/LAB. It’s simply the biggest evolution on a wave sail in our history deservedly carrying the D/LAB label. Because for us, D/LAB represents the maximum technically achievable, giving a glimpse into the future.
3 things set the SUPER_HERO D/LAB apart from any other sail out there:
1. Unseen wind range
Unbelievable but true the wind range is extended in both directions means it gets planning earlier while offering more high-end control. To give you a better idea on the Original SUPER_HERO a typical quiver is 5.3 – 4.7 – 4.2. With the SUPER_HERO D/LAB though you can go 5.0 – 4.2 and cover the same range!
2. Ultra-light ON THE WATER
The physical weight is just one side of the medal. As usual though the real truth happens on the water. The sailing weight describes how light the sail feels in your hands while sailing. It is a combination of the physical weight but more importantly the sail’s dynamic. Therefore we are only interested in the so called sailing weight. A responsive/dynamic sail feels lighter in your hands. On the other hand a spongy sail feels heavier in your hands “eating up” much of the physical weight advantage.
Technora/Dyneema and Kevlar have a high tear strength, but are not very stiff (only similar stiffness than the Polyester monofilm). Therefore, if being reduced in thickness to save weight (membrane and laminated or composite sails), these sails tend to become quite spongy and dull to ride. This sponginess results in a less efficient sail with a reduced wind range (especially when overpowered).
Carbon, on the other hand, is approx. 3-4 times stiffer than Technora/Dyneema and Kevlar. Using our INTELLIGENT CARBON XPLY CONSTRUCTION we have found the ideal balance. The CARBON XPLY in the high load clew, top and tack areas guarantee unsurpassed low stretch and power transmission. However, the slightly more (re)flexing regular XPly in the body avoids the power from becoming uncontrollable. This makes the SUPER_HERO D/LAB extremely responsive and dynamic. In combination with the very low physical weight this results in the lowest possible sailing weight. There is no sail that feels lighter in your hands than the SUPER_HERO D/LAB!
3. Ultra-light without any sacrifice on durability
The easy and usual way to bring down the weight is by reducing the film/laminate thickness. Unfortunately reducing the film thickness has an over-proportional effect on the wear resistance and longevity in general. This is the reasons why reducing the weight the easy way by just reducing the skin thickness has never been an option for us - because all our products are designed and engineered according to our motto “LIGHT DONE RIGHT”.
For the SUPER_HERO D/LAB we use the same film/laminate thickness as with our bomb-proof Original SUPER_HERO. The fusion bonding joining the panels are much stronger than traditional sewing (actually the fusion bonding is even stronger than the materials itself). Hard to believe but experience has shown that the SUPER_HERO D/LAB is even stronger than the Original SUPER_HERO. We back this up with our industry-leading 5 YEAR WARRANTY, something no other brand is able to offer.
Using the SUPER_HERO D/LAB for the first time it feels as if your body becomes united with the sail and you are truly connected with the waves. The lightning quick reflex reactions without any sacrifice in control is a real game changer, so much so, all of our Pro Team will be using the SUPER_HERO D/LAB in 2025.
Please note: after intensive uv radiation, the fusion bonding may take on a yellowish tint. Extensive lab and water tests confirm that this is purely aesthetic and has no influence on the mechanical properties/strength. That's why this is excluded from the warranty.

from 127 reviewsAfter purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
