F-ONE SK8 Front Wing V2 is quickly becoming the go-to choice for surf foilers and wing foilers alike. Kite foilers also enjoyed its high top-speed and glide-y feeling, while downwind riders loved its ability to playfully carve in the bumps in the open ocean, making this foil the most versatile on the market.
FULL DESCRIPTION
New carbon layup.
Thanks to in-depth research, rigorous testing and the know-how of our R&D team, the SK8’s new carbon layup delivers higher speeds while guaranteeing perfect control and greater stability.
Turns become smoother, rail-to-rail transitions more precise, and the foil’s roll motion is improved, offering exceptional manoeuvrability. More predictable, the new SK8 delivers constant power, making it super intuitive to control.
The use of High Modulus Carbon, integrated into F-ONE’s Dynamic Structural Design, leads to even more rigidity and dependability. Finally, this layup has been finely tuned and optimised so that each foil size can deliver the best performance.
The SK8 has been designed to surf.
Its overall shape provides a fine balance between glide and manoeuvrability, which allows the user to tear a wave apart and then pump back to the peak effortlessly.
It doesn’t just turn. It carves.
Manoeuvrability is nothing without power, speed and control. Lay into turns with ease and speed, push through the carve and see how the SK8 holds a steady line and delivers even more speed.
It is meant to stay in the pocket.
With specific wingtips design, the SK8 is able to hit white water without too many turbulences, allowing surf-style turns and breaching pretty much any part of the foil.
Carve, pump, fly.
Take the SK8 for a wing ride, and you’ll feel a fast, easy-to-go-upwind foil that you can surf all the way from the offshore swell until the impact zone.

TECHNOLOGY
Dynamic Structural Design
Recognising that the structural design (construction) of a foil is as critical as its geometrical design (shape), F-ONE applies its Dynamic Structural Design to transform foil performance by tailoring the carbon fibre layup to each foil’s specific program and use.
Through precise definition and control of fibre orientation, quantity, distribution, and type, each foil benefits from the most fine-tuned layup to achieve the desired characteristics, such as enhanced manoeuvrability, comfort, stiffness, and pumping efficiency.
By mastering both the shape and the layup, this meticulous approach to foil design ensures that every size and span is optimized to deliver the best possible performance.
HM
The High Modulus Carbon fibre layup is 1.5x stiffer than the regular carbon fibre used in other constructions. The percentage of high modulus fibre has been carefully adjusted to obtain the best stiffness in both bending and torsion while keeping enough comfort for any kind of practice.
MONOBLOC FRONT WING
Having a stiff and solid assembly between all the parts of the foil is key to making it perform at its best as well as easy to handle.
The connection of the front wing with the fuselage is highly stressed and loaded, so it is one of the critical areas of the assembly in terms of structures.
The Monobloc front wings are moulded together with the fuselage in one shot, thereby removing the connection and the chances for unwanted and parasitic movements.
The structural fibres of the fuselage are spread into the wing to achieve the smoothest and lightest connection.
It is also incredibly stiff and provides absolute control at all times, with the foil responding perfectly to all of the riders’ input.
When the overall dimensions are too large for convenient transportation, a connection is set into the fuselage, behind the mast where the loads are smaller.
TITAN CONNECTION
The TITAN connection enables a very stiff and direct connection between two parts, locking efficiently any movement in all directions.
Its format is compact which is hydrodynamically efficient and very easy to use, assemble and disassemble.
PRE PREG TECHNOLOGY
Pre-preg makes the foils stiffer and stronger. With pre-preg fabrics, the carbon fibre is directly impregnated with epoxy resin by its manufacturer. This guarantees a perfect ratio between epoxy and carbon and represents the highest quality process. It is then cured at high temperature, bringing strength and durability.
Quality control is much better and so is the working environment for the people building our foils. Pre-preg fabrics offer the lightest weight with the best mechanical properties of carbon fibre.

from 127 reviewsAfter purchasing this wing earlier this year it has noticeably made tacks so much smoother and overall upgraded my riding. I bought the 3.0 and 5.0 metre and my 3.0m flies very well in both underpowered and overpowered conditions
I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙
James, Matt and the H20 Team are absolute gurus of the water sports industry, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They will always give the right advice and come up with superb deals and first class support, thanks guys for always helping me to make the right decisions over the last 20 + years!
My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
